Nice to meet you,
I'm Andrea Tombolato
Full-stack Developer
I build reliable, accessible, detail-oriented digital experiences across product work, consulting, and community projects.
About
Technology, volunteering, and a strong product mindset
I'm Andrea Tombolato, a full-stack developer since 2016. At Medas Solutions I work on healthcare software projects with a Java and Node.js stack, building reliable solutions where performance, code quality, and operational continuity truly matter.
Alongside my main role I work on small freelance projects under the heyatom brand, contribute to Element Gaming as a board member, and support Civil Protection as public communication lead.
Away from the screen, I recharge through mountain hikes, travel, and gaming culture. These experiences shape my design approach too: clean, accessible, grounded, and always people-first.
10+ years across Java, Node.js, Vue, and Nuxt
Clean architecture, accessibility, and interfaces shaped around real use cases
Across non-profit work, volunteering, and projects designed to generate local impact
Experience
Professional journey & community
From 2016 to today: full-stack development in healthcare, non-profit community projects, and local volunteering.
Software development in the healthcare domain using Java, Node.js, and Grails. Focus on code quality, performance, and operational continuity.
Development and management of technical community projects, from the website to internal tools.
Strategic management of a non-profit gaming community: team coordination, organizational decisions, and initiative development.
Skills
Technologies and work areas
Main stack: Vue.js and Nuxt.js on the frontend, Node.js and Nest.js on the backend, Java and Grails for enterprise systems. I work across SSR architectures, REST APIs and microservices, with a consistent focus on performance, accessibility and code quality. I cover the full development lifecycle — from interface design to production deployment.
Volunteer since 2015
Civil Protection
Since 2015 I have been a volunteer in the Civil Protection group of Settimo Milanese. In 2021 I became squad leader, managing the group's evening shifts. In 2022 I was elected as a board member, choosing to step back from operational duties to handle external communications, an area the group needed to revive.
I relaunched the group's Facebook and Instagram pages, designed and developed the official website procivsettimomi.it.
In February 2026 I concluded my journey in Settimo Milanese. I am currently in the process of joining the Milan Municipal Civil Protection Group.
